Reppo Timer — Support

An interval timer for iPhone and Apple Watch.

Common questions

Does the timer keep running when the screen goes off?

Yes. On Apple Watch the session runs as a real workout, so haptics keep firing with the screen off and your wrist down. On iPhone it keeps counting with the phone locked or in a pocket, and plays its cues out loud.

Why don't I feel taps on my iPhone when it's locked?

iOS only lets an app play haptics while it is on screen. With Reppo in the foreground you get taps; locked or backgrounded, the cues are sound-only. That is why sound is on by default on iPhone. On Apple Watch there is no such limit — haptics work throughout.

Will it interrupt my music or podcast?

No. Reppo mixes its cues with whatever you're already playing and does not duck the volume. If you'd rather have silence, turn sound off in Settings; the timer runs the same either way.

Do my routines sync between my iPhone and my Apple Watch?

With Reppo Pro, yes — sync is one of the Pro features. It goes through your own iCloud account, as long as both devices are signed in to the same one with iCloud Drive on. Without Pro, each app keeps its own routines, and each works perfectly well on its own — neither one needs the other installed.

Does it have to use Health?

No. Health permission lets Reppo save your session as a workout so it counts toward your Activity rings. Decline it and everything else works exactly the same.

Can I build a routine that isn't just work / rest / work / rest?

Yes — blocks go in any order you like, and a routine repeats for as many rounds as you set. The free version uses the preset block durations; Reppo Pro adds durations set to any length, and infinite looping, which runs the circuit until you stop it.

What do the different taps mean?

Each transition has its own pattern: one for work starting, another for rest starting, and a countdown in the seconds before every change. After a few sessions you'll recognise them without looking.

I found a bug, or I want a feature.

What does Reppo Pro include, and is it a subscription?

It's a one-time purchase, not a subscription. Pro unlocks unlimited routines, iCloud sync between your iPhone and Apple Watch, widgets, complications and Siri, infinite looping, and durations set to the second. The free version keeps two routines and the full timer — including the screen-off haptics, which are the point of the app.

I bought Pro before. How do I get it back?

Open the Pro screen — from Settings, or by tapping any locked feature — and choose Restore. It's tied to your Apple Account, so it works on a new device and after a reinstall, on both iPhone and Apple Watch.
